The options are nearly endless for outdoor adventures along the Oregon Coast. Guided hiking will be included with your guide fee for the trip, however here are a few ideas for additional activities which can be added to enhance your experience (additional costs apply):

After check-out you'll venture from the Oregon Coast an hour and half to the Willamette Valley wine region. Depending on your interests you and your guide can continue to explore the coastline with several scenic hikes en-route or make your way directly to the wineries of the Willamette Valley for a taste of world-class pinot noir. After checking into your accommodations, you'll enjoy your evening activity.

On-Farm Cooking Class & Dinner

Roll up your sleeves for an immersive on-farm cooking class where you'll learn to prepare a gourmet meals using local seasonal ingredients. During this 3 hour class you'll prepare a multi-course menu highlighting the bounty of produce from the Willamette Valley. Enjoy nibbles and wine along the way before digging into your culinary creation.

Half-Day Willamette Valley Wine Tasting Tour

The Willamette Valley is home to over 500 tasting rooms and vineyards and known for its excellent pinot noir. Wineries range from the intimate setting of a rustic boutique property to a large scale elegant tasting room with commanding panoramic views. Your private guide will orient you to the region and its unique characteristics with visits and tastings at few of the most iconic local wineries followed by lunch. Enjoy the free time in the afternoon by exploring the boutiques in downtown McMinnville or relaxing with a spa service at The Allison.

Willamette Valley Helicopter Wine Tour & Lunch

Experience the magic of the Willamette Valley by land and air with this four-hour intimate wine tour. Starting at your hotel your private naturalist guide will pick you up in a luxury vehicle. Weaving your way through among the vineyards to a boutique winery for a tasting for an educational overview of this highly productive wine region. From there you'll be whisked away by helicopter for a 20-minute flight over the rolling hills of the Chehalem Mountains AVA before landing at another winery. Take in incredible valley view with another tasting and gourmet picnic-style lunch then your naturalist guide will escort you by car back to your hotel.

Horseback Wine Tour

Take in the beauty of the Willamette Valley by horseback while enjoying wine tastings as several boutique wineries. This 2.5 hour tour will take you on on a comfortably paced, gentle trail ride through the famous Red Hills of Dundee. Enjoy breathtaking countryside as we wind our way between the vines, ride right up to the wineries, hitch up and sample the Willamette Valley's award winning pinot noirs.

Paddle and Pinot Kayak Tour

Running down the spine of the Willamette Valley is the region's life blood, the Willamette River. These waters define the character of the valley as a valuable water source for the abundant agriculture and stunning wildlife. Enjoy a 3 hours kayak trip upriver with your private naturalist guide as you take in the serene nature of the Willamette River and its resident wildlife. Pull up the shoreline of the region's only riverside winery and enjoy a wine tasting and picnic-style lunch. Relax in the shaded patio of the winery with a game of horseshoes or bocce before heading back to your hotel.

Guided Truffle Forage and Winemaker Lunch

Tromp around the Oregon wilderness with a local chef and expert truffle accompanied by their trained canine compainion and a local winemaker. You will learn about the abundance of quality ingredients in the Willamette Valley and how seasonal produce is a staple in the culinary landscape of the valley. Additionally you'll learn truffle hunting do's and don’ts, storage and care of truffles and how to use those delicious little nuggets in your own kitchen. After your forage you'll enjoy a truffle-themed picnic lunch and a private wine tasting with a local winemaker. (Note: Experience is only available during truffle season Jan - Mar).

From the Willamette Valley we will wind our way up to Oregon's tallest peak, Mt. Hood, and spend the day exploring the mountain's historic and natural treasures. First stop will be Timberline Lodge, a National Historic Landmark and home to the only year-round skiing in North America. After touring around the Cascadian style lodge, we'll have lunch with stunning mountain range view, followed by a short hike to the Pacific Crest Trail crossing just behind the lodge. From there we'll have the opportunity for several different hikes either along the shoreline of Trillum Lake or up to Tamanawa Falls. Skirting along the east side of Mt. Hood is the picturesque Hood River Valley, home to the "Fruit Loop" a collection of orchards, vineyards, farms, lavender fields. We'll stop in at one of the many farm stands to pick up some local produce for a late afternoon snack before ending the day in Hood River.

Additional Options for Day 5

Willamette Valley Hot Air Balloon Ride and Champagne Brunch

Catch the sunrise and float over the vines; the best way to see and taste what the Willamette Valley has to offer. Balloon season is April to October, so get your cameras ready. This is a one-of-a-kind experience in the Willamette Valley. Your balloon adventure includes a one-hour flight followed by a champagne brunch. It’s a great way to see (and taste) what makes the Willamette Valley so unique.
Note: This experience requires an early start time around 5:00 a.m. for the best ballooning conditions.

Start your morning with a farm-fresh breakfast, included with your stay at Sakura Ridge. Then head out on an adventurous bike tour exploring the wineries and farms of the Hood River Valley. This tour can be substituted for another excursion such as whitewater rafting, kiteboarding, or windsailing. Enjoy the evening on your own with dinner at one of the many fine dining options in downtown Hood River or upgrade your experience with a private winery dinner or craft brewery tour and tasting.

Hood River Valley Winery Bike Tour

This all-inclusive wine tasting ride features exclusive access to private vineyards for guests to experience via bike. After breakfast and check out at Sakura Ridge you're driver guide will provide you an tour of the Columbia River Gorge National Scenic Area en-route to Portland International Airport (1 hour drive). You'll explore this unique region, known for the oldest scenic highway in the US and highest concentration of waterfalls in North America. You'll make several stops at sweeping viewpoints and Oregon's tallest waterfall, Multnomah Falls, which is sure to leave an remarkable final impression prior to your departure.
