Your driver/guide will greet you at the airport and take you on a half-day tour of the Oregon Coast. Your private guide will show you some of Oregon's most treasured state parks and shorelines. You'll enjoy sea-views along the drive and a stop in the West's oldest settlement, Astoria. You'll have the chance to dine at a local brewery and visit their resident sea lions from the docks before making your way to the charming coastal hamlet of Cannon Beach for your overnight stay.

After check-out you'll venture from the Oregon Coast an hour and half to the Willamette Valley wine region. Depending on your interests you and your guide can continue to explore the coastline with several scenic hikes en-route or make your way directly to the wineries of the Willamette Valley for a taste of world-class pinot noir. After checking into your accommodations, you'll enjoy your evening activity.

On-Farm Cooking Class & Dinner

Roll up your sleeves for an immersive on-farm cooking class where you'll learn to prepare a gourmet meals using local seasonal ingredients. During this 3 hour class you'll prepare a multi-course menu highlighting the bounty of produce from the Willamette Valley. Enjoy nibbles and wine along the way before digging into your culinary creation.

The Willamette Valley is home to over 500 tasting rooms and vineyards and known for its excellent pinot noir. Wineries range from the intimate setting of a rustic boutique property to a large scale elegant tasting room with commanding panoramic views. Your private guide will orient you to the region and its unique characteristics with visits and tastings at few of the most iconic local wineries followed by lunch. Enjoy the free time in the afternoon by exploring the boutiques in downtown McMinnville or relaxing with a spa service at The Allison.

From there you'll be whisked away by helicopter for a 20-minute flight over the rolling hills of the Chehalem Mountains AVA before landing at another winery. Additionally you'll learn truffle hunting do's and don’ts, storage and care of truffles and how to use those delicious little nuggets in your own kitchen. Day 5: Mt.Hood / Columbia Gorge

From the Willamette Valley we will wind our way up to Oregon's tallest peak, Mt. Hood, and spend the day exploring the mountain's historic and natural treasures. First stop will be Timberline Lodge, a National Historic Landmark and home to the only year-round skiing in North America. After touring around the Cascadian style lodge, we'll have lunch with stunning mountain range view, followed by a short hike to the Pacific Crest Trail crossing just behind the lodge. From there we'll have the opportunity for several different hikes either along the shoreline of Trillum Lake or up to Tamanawa Falls. Skirting along the east side of Mt. Hood is the picturesque Hood River Valley, home to the "Fruit Loop" a collection of orchards, vineyards, farms, lavender fields. We'll stop in at one of the many farm stands to pick up some local produce for a late afternoon snack before ending the day in Hood River.
